State Certified Termite Inspections

Subterranean Termites are responsible for most of the termite damage in the United States, especially in the Midwest.  Approximately $2.5 billion are spent annually to control subterranean termite infestations and repair the damage they cause.  Since termites intentionally hide themselves from the prying eyes of humans, detecting the presence of these tiny soldiers is critical to controlling infestations and preventing further damage.

Termites aren’t the only wood destroying insects that can damage a home, I also search for evidence of:

  1. Wood-boring Beetles
  2. Carpenter Ants
  3. Carpenter Bees

In Kansas and Missouri, a Wood Destroying Insect (WDI) license is required. Kansas and Missouri reciprocate license requirements, which requires a Certified Non-Commercial Applicators License with 7B certification (Wood Destroying Organisms) in Missouri. In Kansas, 7A (Wood Destroying Organisms).

Radon Measurement Service

Radon is a radioactive gas that has been found in homes all over the United States. As the last decay element of Uranium, radon can enter the home through cracks and holes in the foundation and even through wells and sump pumps. According to the Environmental Protection Agency, radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer in the United States and although Radon has short half-life, just three days, it’s particularly harmful when inhaled.

Measuring radon requires special equipment with precise measurement techniques and 48 hours of closed door conditions. This means the house must be closed up 48 hours prior to the service and 48 hours before a first reading is indicated for a short term test.

I will arrange a time with either you are your agent for access to the property, set up the Radon Measurement Equipment and record the correct time and placement. After 48 hours, I will retrieve the Radon Measurement test equipment and record the readings in a permanent log, compose a report outlining the current Radon levels and outline steps as to what actions should be taken.
